A matter of trust. The helicopter that will take the scientists back to McMurdo station picks up their equipment first. All equipment is neatly tied up in a cargo net, which will be externally carried by the helicopter. To perform this manoeuvre, a „volunteer“ takes the looped rope from the cargo net and flips it on the hook at the bottom side of the hovering 4-ton helicopter. During this phase it is not recommended to think about the possibility that the pilot might have to sneeze...
