Pressure wave. In less that one second from this moment the person in the foreground will be engulfed by a turbulent cloud of snow that was generated by the downdraft of the helicopter. The person needs to stay there to prevent loose equipment being blown in to the helicopter’s rotors. A short time later the person needs to attach the hook of a transport net to the hovering helicopter. For this manoeuvre it is necessary to be fully protected by polar clothing, since at -40°C every unprotected piece of skin will freeze within seconds.
